Yesterday afternoon was Bellini’s La Sonnambula at the Met HD broadcast into theaters. A typically silly bel canto story wrapped around gorgeous singing. Juan Diego Florez and Natalie Dessay were superb. Over a month until the next and last performance of the season, La Cenerentola, Rossini’s retelling of the Cinderella story.
Such a pleasure it was to see the screen clearly, even if only via one eye. Everything was crisp, and I didn’t need to strain at all to read the subtitles.
I’m now looking forward even more to next season’s offerings.

Often when I do high-ISO natural light work, I like to actually increase the graininess, which enhances a photo’s film-like appearance.
