Nothing much of interest this morning.
Perhaps this interview with Ayaan Hirsi Ali about living under a fatwa.
Or this slide show of the U.S. tie with England in the World Cup.
Or, finally, this article from The NY Times about American Muslim women voluntarily wearing the veil — and more. (The article presents interesting, perhaps even unique, insights into the mindset behind wearing the veil and associated garments traditionally associated with conservative female Muslim dress. I still disagree with customs and religious practices that in 90% of the world are imposed on women without their choice and enforced through many levels of sanctions, up to and including death.)
From 2005 — I don’t know if she’s still modeling.
