Just for the six or so of you who are interested, the epidural procedure appears to have gone perfectly. Needle went in, and assisted by real-time X-Rays was sited immediately adjacent to the nerve root. Injection in, and it was all over in fifteen minutes. I’m walking, standing and sitting with no pain, but that may be the effect of Novocain rather than the steroids, which may require a couple days to kick in. If they do, then all is good to go!
My body is an encyclopedia of modern medical technology. The doc was amazed at the number of surgical clips to be seen on the X-Ray — I think he may even have been momentarily concerned they might obscure his view of the needle position.

Good to hear all went well.
I guess I’m one of those 6…I’ve been waiting to see your update. Glad it went well.
Another one of the 6 I guess. Glad things went well, Having watched my wife suffer with sciatica until having a spinal fusion, I know some of what you went through. Hope this fix is permanent.
Glad to hear that everything went well. A good example of why we should (usually) be thankful for modern medicine.
Glad you are pain-free. Long may it remain so!
