The Nude in Minnesota
May 2008
|
The Nude in Minnesota was a three day show in early May 2008. I organized it starting in February, initially inviting seven other photographers. In the end, one had to drop out, so seven of us ended up presenting one hundred five prints, at the MPLS PHOTO COOP, where I sublet studio/gallery space. Over the three days approximately 180 people attended, which was quite a respectable number. I selected fifteen images for the show, printing ten of them on the (then) new Ilford Gallerie Gold Fibre Silk paper, which comes very close to replicating the look of air-dried gelatin silver fiber prints. Nine of those ten prints were in format 30"x20", with the remaining single print 25"x20". The other five prints were done 16"x24" on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Bright White fine art paper. Please note: one of these images contains explicit nudity. |
